She died 25 Aug 1925 at Goldendale, Wa. Have death certificate. Parents names given but birthplaces listed as not attainable. Army Service: He enlisted in a Michigan Regiment and was in active service for four years in the Civil War and was with General Sherman in his famous march to the sea. He came to the Klickitat Valley in 1887 and located in the No. 6 country, where he resided ever since. (Source: Obituary, Goldendale, Wa., Dec. 1. In August 1861 he enlisted in the Tenth Missouri Regiment for twelve months service. Upon receiving his discharge he again enlisted, this time in a Michigan regiment, and he served until the last gun of the war was silent, being honorably discharged in 1865. DEATH DATE: Nov 27, 1907, 66 yrs., 8 mos., 13 days, The Dalles, Oregon. Death certificate for Persis Ellis Wedgewood 25Aug1925 NOTES: Beautiful curly hair, ringlets, beautiful young girl but manybabies andhard life, died because of babies, tall, made her own long dresseswith stand upcollar and long sleeves and bib apron. Made cakes without measuringand theyalways were delicious. Got sick in August after making the pies forthe harvestworkers and laid down and later died (Grandma Blanchard).
