David Gentry followed his children to Kentucky in his old age and made h is home with his son Richard, on the homestead six miles south of Richmo nd in Madison County, KY, where he was buried in the old Gentry family gra veyard.David Gentry sold land in Louisa County, VA, on August 22, 1748, to John B rooks. He again deeded 178 acres of land on Doyle River, in Albemarle Coun ty, VA, to his brother Martin Gentry on November 1778, and he bought 500 a cres land in Albemarle County, VA, on May 14, 1778 from Thomas Hull of Goo chland County, VA.Deed: Louisa County, VA, Book B, Page 127, paragraphs 214-215, 23 August 1 757: Nicholas Gentry of Fredericksville Parish, Louisa County, VA, for go od will and fatherly love to a loving son David Gentry, 100 acres on branc hes of Dirty Swamp in Fredericksville Parish . . .
