BIOGRAPHY:  The book "GENEALOGICAL AND FAMILY HISTORY of the STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE", vol. III, pages 1651-58, states:  "James, eldest son of James and __________ {Standish) Prescott, married Alice Molineaux.  For the bravery and military prowess, he was created lord of the manor in Dryby*, in Lincolnshire, and was afterwards known as Sir James.  Sir James Prescott died March 1, 1583, leaving two children: John and Anne."

*Dryby, according to the "Genealogical Gazetter of England", which spells it Driby, is a parish in Lincolnshire 4-3/4 miles sw of Alford in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, with a population in 1831 of 89.
