She came to America in the 1856 Hand Cart company,  She had suffered through the Famine in Ireland and lived throught it.  It would not be the first famine in Ireland but a dreadful toll was taken with the one in 1845 to 1849.

Mary Jane came to Utah in 1856 with Her family .  Her father died in 1833 in Scotland and her mothr didn't remarry.  When Mary Jane Park Draney  was 78 and she Lived with George Walter Bramwell and her daughter Isabell.

It is said by other members of our family that Mary Jane Park was Scotish. but I found her father born in Ireland, yet her father died in Scotland,.  Could he have been in a war (research the history of Scotland at the periods 1833.
