The following came with De Anza to found San Francisco in 1775/76: Ramon Bojorquez and wife Maria Francisca Rovero (or Romero) Children: Maria Gertrudes, Maria Micaela Apparently, daughters Maria Ana (or Antonia) and Maria Micaela married along the way (to Jose Tiburcio Vasquez & Ygnacio Higuera, resp.) BOJORQUEZ: The name originates in the valley of Runanzara, district of Trasmiera, Santander, Spain, where an early manor is thought to have existed. It is similar to Teutonic Bjork and Borges of Scandinavia. The Goths settled heavily in northern Spain; Asturias borders on Santander to the west.
