Liborio Figueroa: Birth and death dates supplied by his daughter,
Bea Polloreno, who extensively researched the Figueroa and Miranda
family lines.
Reference: 1860 Census (Township No.2, Contra Costa Co.):
"Leviro" (Liborio) was age 2 (so born 1858).
Bea Polloreno gives birthdate as 23 July 1860.

Liborio and his brothers Cipriano and Raymond insisted that the
family name was Figueroa, not Fideroa as their brother Theodore (and
father Casildo) maintained. When Theodore was married in 1900, he
changed the name to Fidero by dropping the final "a".

Liborio Figueroa and Josefa Wilson were married at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Escondido, CA.

Notes:
Theodore Fideroa changed his name to Fidero when he was married
in December 1900. Ivy Fidero Laughter says the name Fideroa
was pronounced Fi-der'-o-a, and the final "a" was dropped. But
Edna Fidero Michaels, Virginia (Figueroa) and others pronounced
it Fi-ther-o'-a.
Ivy was told that Fideroa (as opposed to Figueroa) was a name used
in the Basque region of northern Spain. They had always heard that
Casildo Fideroa was Castilian Spanish; Castile is a province in
the north of Spain.
Theodore's given name in Spanish was Teodoro Jose Fideroa.
