Hugh Shaw was born in Ireland. (Ref: Kate Belle Bohe family
notes). But family oral tradition is that he was English, and
his wife Bridget was Irish.
Died in Akron, Ohio. Age 69 years (so born around 1840). Ref:
Kate Bohe's family notes.

born 7 Apr 1850 (1847?) in Dublin, Ireland, of English & Irish
parents. She came to America as a young girl with her brother
and his wife after the death of their parents. A few years later
later she was married in Akron, Ohio, to Hugh Shaw. She died in
Moline, Ill., on 20 Aug 1911. Buried in St. Mary's Cemetery,
East Moline, Ill.

Francis Ellen (Frankie) Shaw: 2nd husband (after Ben Holcombe
died) was Dave Everson. They lived at 131 6th Ave. in Moline.
Frankie is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, Ill.

But census supports 1870 birth date, and picture of Frankie, Hugh
and Kate (Monmouth, Ill, 1885) supports ages 15, 12 and 8.

born Akron, Ohio"
Hugh Andrew Shaw: 1900 Census listed him as a boat engineer.
He was killed in an accident in Moline, Ill. at age 54. (Ref:
