Alex Served in the Spanish American War at Cuba with Teddy RoseveltsRough Riders. He was a Private Second Class, US Infantry. He was veryproud of this fact.
His death was Ironic family history said he died by drinking bad Booze.He wasn't a drinking man but a neighbor made some booze and had him trysome and it poisoned him. They lived about six blocks from Bell MemorialHospital ( now KU Med Center) but died before they could get him there.
