                   Marriage year could be 1745.  His epitaph on his gravestone reads:  Death is a debt / To Nature due / Which I have paid / And so must you.    Nehemiah served in the Second Regiment (Land Bounty Rights), Westchester County Militia.

In the distribution of his brother's (Jonathan) estate in 1791, his legal representatives were listed as Jeremiah Lounsberry, Phineas Lounsberry, Stephen Lounsberry, Mary Lyon, Prudence Elliot, Sarah Holmes, Lydia Lounsberry and Elizabeth Lounsberry.  The identity of Mary is uncertain, as Nehemiah did not name a daughter by the name of Mary in his will, which was written 23 Mar 1780.

                   Sarah (Webb) Lounsberry was also the step-daughter of Deborah LOCKWOOD.   On 27 Sep 1793, Sarah Lounsberry, widow of Bedford, conveyed land there to Jeremiah and Stephen Lounsberry.  In a list of the members of the Presbyterian Church, dated 1798, her name appears as "Sarah Lounsberry, widow of Nehemiah."

                   He served as a private in teh Revolutionary War an dhis widow applied for a pension on 9 May 1833, whcih was granted.  His enlistments are thus stated in the reocrds of the Bureau of Pensions:  Dec 1776 for three months under Capt. Marcus Moseman, Col. Thomas;  Sept 1777 for one month under the same, and three months under Capt. Olmstead, Col. Thomas;  Feb 1779 for two months under Capt. John Thomas, Col. Thomas; in 1779 for eighteen months under Catp. Moseman, Col. Thomas; and in 1782 for six months under Capt. Thomas Hunt, Col. Weisenfeldt.

He is buried along with his wife on a farm, situated on the raod from Bedford to Mt. Kisco, NY.  The inscriptions on their gravestones read:  "Stephen Lounsbery died December 3, 1839, aged 81 yrs 10 months"  and  "Sarah, wife of Stephen Lounsbery, died February 27, 1852, aged 87 yrs."   His will was dated 11 Sep 1834 and proved 27 Jan 1840.
