MRS. MARY ELIZ. PETER - Mineral Springs - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Peters, wife of the late Oliver Peters, died at the home of her son, John Peters in Mineral Springs on Thursday, October 9, 1941, at 8 a.m..  She was 69 years, one month and nine days old at the  time.  A life-long resident of this place she was born at Port Matilda, Centre County, a daughter of the late John W. Young.  She had been a member of the United Brethren Church of Woodland for many years.  Surviving are the followoing children:  Erman Peters of Virginia; Mrs. Charles Rowles of Clearfield: John Peters and Charles Peters of Mineral Springs.  There are 16 grand-children and six great-grandchildren, as well as the following brothers:  David E Young of Ohio and George Young of Mineral Springs.  Her husband and two sons preceded her in death.  Funeral services were held from the Woodland United Brethren Church on Sunday, October 12, with Rev. JC Rupp officiating.  Interment was made in the Bradford Cemetery.

MRS. MARY E. PETERS - Mineral Springs - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Peters, aged 69, widow of Oliver Peters, died Thursday  morning at 8 o'clock at the home of her son John Peters in Mineral Springs.  The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon at the residence with funeral services at the United Brethren Church in Woodland at 2:30.  Interment will follow in the Bardford Cemetery.  Rev. J.C. Rupp will officiate.

CHARLES E PETERS SR - MINERAL SPRINGS - Carles Edward Peters Sr., 64, of Mineral Springs died in the Clearfield Hospital at 9 p.m. yesterday.  Mr. Peters had been employed by Harbison-Walker Refracoties for more than 25 years when ill health forced his retirement in 1958.  He was born in Bradford Township Sept. 1, 1899, a son of Oliver and Mary Elizabeth (Young) Peters.  He was a member of the Woodland Methodist Church and of Bradford Grange No. 1219.  Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Wisor, and the following sons and daughters:  Charles Jr., Mrs. Edward (Joan) Hipps, and Neldon, all of Mineral Springs; Mrs. Blair (Geraldine) Wilson, Grampian; Mrs. DuPont (Betty Jane) Stone, Bloomington, Calif.; and McKnight, Turtle Creek.  He also leaves 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John of Mineral Springs and a sister, Mrs. Susie Rowles of Clearfield.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Erman.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Fred B. Leavy Funderal Home with Rev. Nancy Miller officiating.  Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday after 7 pm and Friday afternoon and evening.
