Aaron PETERS

Mrs. Isabella Ross Peters - Isabella Ross Peters, wife of Aaron Peters, youngest daughter of Daniel and Margaret McLain Ross, was born at Bolivar, Westmoreland county, Pa., October 16, 1852, and died at her home on West Third avenue, Clearfield, on Thursday, Sept. 1, 1927.  In 1873 the Daniel Ross family moved to Woodland, where on June 2, 1874, she was united in marriage to Aaron Peters of Bradford township.  To this union four children were born.  John, the oldest, and Ora peters Moore, the second, preceded their mother to their eternal home many years ago. She is survived by her husband, Aaron Peters, and the following children, Mrs. M.L. Mitchell of Arlington, N.J., and Miss Violet Peters at home.  Two grandchildren, Mrs. J.O. Woolridge, of Clearfield, and Van K. Moore of Blossburg, Pa., one sister, Mrs. Margaret Wynn, of Philipsburg and two brothers Wm. J. Ross of Karthaus and R. Grant Ross of Clearfield also survive.  At an early age she consecrated her life to the service of the Master and affiliated herself with His church.  She was one of the original members of the Woodland Methodist church and has been a faithful member of Trinity M.E. church since 1901.  She possessed a beautiful Christian influence, her full determination to serve her Master and her friends made her life a busy one until broken in health.  Devoted to her husband, her home, and her friends, and to all she knew in need, won from all who knew her admiration.  Having faith in God, and His Son Jesus Christ, we know she is now in her heavenly home.  Funeral services at her late home Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4th, conducted by her pastor, Dr. E.R. Heckman.  Interment in Bradford cemetery.
