INSTANTLY KILLED IN BIGLER MINES - George W. Peters, while at work in the Williams Grove clay mines at Bilger, was instantly killed yesterday morning about 8 o'clock by the collapse of the roof of the mine. Mr. Peters was in the act of placing props under the roof when about ten tons of rock fell, striking him on the back, breaking his neck and badly bruising his body. The accident was witnessed by other miners and the body of Mr. Peters was taken from the mine to the home of his nephew, Clifford Smeal, at which Mr. Peters made his home. It was found that Mr. Peters had been instantly killed. Mr. Peters was born at Sington, this county, and was about 40 years of age. He had been engaged many years in the vicinty of Bigler, near which he owned a large farm. He had many friends and was highly respected in the neighborhood. Deceased is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Ed, at Bigler; William, of Montana, Mrs. William LeVere of Clearfield; Mrs. Alice Smeal and Mrs. James Bock, both residing at Sington
