1810 Census for PA - no John Peters in Clearfield
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Since the 1870 census very clearly noted John Peters born in Maryland, a search of the 1810 Census revealed a John Peters in Baltimore City, Baltimore Ward 8, Census and on that same page was a C. G. Peters. There were a number of John Peters names in the index for 1810, but only one in Maryland.

Peters, John
1 - male ages 26-44 **
1 - female under age 10
1 - female ages 16-25
1 - female ages 26-44

The household of C.G. Peters
1 - male ages 16-25
1 - male ages 26-44
1 - female age 26-44

* If our birth year for John of 1786 is correct then he was 24 years in 1810; which is in line with the 1870 census age of 84 and the 1860 census age of 73; however, the 1850 census reported his age as 66, making him 26 in 1810 --- and then if Ruth's birth year is, in fact, 1789, she would have been 21, but she is 55 on the 1850 census making her 25 in 1810 *

There are three John Peters listed in the index for the 1820 Census index for Maryland.
