NOTES: Benjamin Odle was found on the 1855 Illinois State Census living in Township 8, next door to Harry Odle and Jeremiah Odle. And was found on the 1860 Census living close to a Swaford family. A Benjamin Odle was also given land on Oct 6, 1817 in Illinois for service in the 37th infantry under Christopher Ripley. This Benjamin Odle served in the war of 1812 as a private and was born near West Chester, NY and enlisted Sep 23, 1813 for one year and then reenlisted for a second year.
