"The couple is listed in the Clackamas County, Oregon census of 1860 with their three children and William, Franciss' younger brother, who is listed as a 'laborer'.  Francis' occupation is listed as 'farmer'.
    Francis and Ann were both drowned Feburary 21, 1864 in Clackamas County, Oregon, while trying to ford the Molalla River on the way to church."
