Charlotte Powell, 8/94; Biographical Sketches, Vermillion Co., IN; "Joseph
    Wesley Reeder, one of the early pioneer families of Vermillion Co., resides on
    the homestead on section 28, Clinton Twsp, where he was born 26 AUG 1845. ..
    Grandfather, Joseph Reeder, came from the State of Ohio, and settled in the
    forest on section 21 of Clinton Twsp, and improved 80 acres of wild land. He
    was born in PA, his wife, Eleanor (Stockton) Reeder, being a native of the
    same State. Both died at an advanced age in Clinton Twsp. Their children in
    order of their birth are as follows: John, Nelson, James, Joseph, Amos, and
    Ellen, all of whom married and settled in Vermillion Co., All died in Clinton
    Twsp except Joseph, who died in IL, and John, who died in IA.  The
    grandfather was a prosperous man, and became the owner of over 400 acres of
    land, which during his life he divided among his children.

    ...being the same land formerly owned by the father of said Thomas and of
    which he died possessed...meaning to convey and release to said Thomas all the
    right which said Reeder and wife have in said possessed by deceased(?) or
