Republican, and a Presbyterian elder. He d. 3 NOV 1863. Mrs. Stockton is still
living (1911).

HISTORY OF WASHINGTON CO., PA, 1893, pg 800; "Robert settled on the homestead,
which is now owned by his son, Dr. John W. Stockton, a practising physician in
Washington, PA."
HISTORY OF WASHINGTON CO., PA, PG 752; Robert Stockton, son of Thomas and
Sarah (Graham) Stockton, passed his youth on the home farm, and was united in
marriage with Rebecca, daughter of John and Sarah Wilson. To their union were
born children as follows: Thomas V., John Wilson, Emma O"Ella (Mrs. C.C.
Cozad) and Maggie (Mrs. A.R. Gayhart). Mr. Stockton was a leading member of
the Presbyterian Church at Washington. In politics he was a Whig and
Republican. He died in Oct, 1864, aged 67 years. (This is a different death
date than T.C.S)
