                   THE STOCKTON FAMILY OF NJ, DR. T.C. STOCKTON, 1911, APPENDIX, PG 279, 292;
     Baptist Minister, NY, who baptisted more
     than 500 converts during his short ministry. He died at Cuba, NY, where a
     beautiful memorial window has been placed in the church to his memory.

     PA, 15, with parents; 1857-58, Pastor of Carmel Baptist Church in Crawford
     Co., PA; Panama, Chautauqua, NY Baptist Church 6 NOV 1858-6 JUN 1863; May
     1864-death, pastor of 2nd Baptist Church in Cuba, Alleghany, NY.
     Following his resignation at Panama, Stockton appears to have returned to
     Crawford Co., PA. (Hist. of Chatauqua Co., NY, 1875, Andrew W. Young) Data
     from the Crawford Co., Historical Society indicates he and Rev. B.C.
     Willoughby "began a series of meetings in the old Universalist Church on Pine
     Street", about FEB, 1864.
     From MAY 1864, until his death 2 MAT 1866, he was pastor of the 2nd Baptist
     Church in Cuba, Allegany Co., NY, according to information supplied by David
     H. Crowley, Historian for the Town of Cuba, NY.
     His Will, filed in Allegany Co, includes bequests to a 2nd wife, ADA
    STOCKTON, their son HARRISON J. STOCKTON, and his father-in-law O.M. RUSSELL.
    From records of the Panama Church, which allude to a Miss Russell in 1863, it
     would appear tat the marriage occurred in or near Chautauqua Co., c1863, the
     year he left Panama.
