This made James Neilson a nephew of Elizabeth (Stockton) Waddell, and Elizabeth Waddell a first cousin of William Waddell, you figure it out it's beyond me 1790 LETTERKENNY, FRANKLIN CO., PA; listed with no males children & 3 females. (Cliff has no explaination for the 2 daughters born before 1790) as of 1990, Cliff had James b. c1760, marrying c1791 in Ohio Co., VA; If the 1790 census' 3 females were a wife and 2 daughters, .... He also has Elizabeth's birth c1774, which would make her 16 in 1790, him, 30 .....
CC NEILSON, 3703 MOSS BROOKE CT., FAIRFAX, VA 22031; 5/96; BOOK, PG 8-4; Elizabeth Wadell b Middleton, Cumberland Co., PA 4 APR 1774; m James Neilson about 1791. Together with her brother, William (m James sister Elizabeth Neilson) moved to Wheeling, VA (WVA) area in 1795. 1802 James went down the Ohio and MS Rivers first to Natchez, MS, then to East Baton Rouge, LA. Both buried in Penny Graveyard on Highladn Rd., close to Woodlawn. Her death date can be inferred as prior to 28 FEB 1840 from the following notice of that date in the Baton Rouge Gazette: "Mrs. Margaret McConnell, Miss Mary Neilson, James J. Neilson and James n. Lea, the only heirs of the late James and Elizabeth Neilson deceased, inhabitants of the parish of East Baton Rouge, having the intention to emanciapte their slave Stephen (a mulatto) the same being above the age ot thirty years. All person who may have any legal opposition to said emanicpation, are required to file said opposition in the office of the clerk of the parish court of the parish aforesaid, within forty days from the date of the present notice. Given under my hand this 28th Feb. 1840: Aug. Duplanter, Sheriff."
