LOUISE THIESSEN, "KENWORTHY'S MARRY", PASO ROBLES, CA 1990, pg 192 "married at the Davis' INN on 2nd st, Philadelphia, called the Camel Tavern. In 1771 they moved to Delaware. He took communion at Welch Tract Baptist Meeting. His wife's parents are buried on the Meeting House grounds; 1772 moved to Beaver Co., PA at head of King's creek, where Frankfort Springs now stand; Patent for 1,000 acres dated 1 SEP 1789. Levi enlisted in the Militia 14 SEP 1778 and served under Col. John Stevenson (PA Archives, 2nd series, Vol. 14, pp 678, 691). During the Rev. War moved family to Chartier's Creek in (now) Washington Co., PA and joined Capt Thomas Rankins 4th Batt., Washington Co. militia. Buried in Brook, New Hancock, WV which is 5 miles from Beaver Co., PA and 1 1/2 miles west of Paris, PA. Wife a relative of Dr. Benjamin Rush, (connection not stated; Dr. Rush married Julia Stockton, d/o Richard Stockton "the Signer", and also signed the Declaration of Independence.)
