Thomas DUNGAN

LOUISE THIESSEN, "KENWORTHYS MARRY", 1990, PG 187; Mr. Alfred Justice states
in his book "Ancestry of Jeremy Clarke of RI and Dungan Genealogy", that
William Dungan is descended from Edward II, King of England.  Thomas P. Dungan,
in his research on the Dungan family wrote a paper, "Disproving the Ancestry of
William Dungan, Perfumer of St-Martins-in-the-Field,"  He has proven in his
writings that William Dungan, son of Thomas and Mary is the first known of our
direct line.  Both agree that William Dungan married Frances Latham and so this
is where our family line will start.
     pg 188;  The only time Thomas and Mary Dungan are mentioned is when their
son, William, was baptized in 1628 in St. Martins-in-the-Field, London,
England.  William was born about 1600 and died 20 SEP 1636. He married 27 AUG
1620 to Frances Latham, d/o Lewis Latham.  William had one brother than is
known, John who was born about 1597.  William was on his own in 1624 and became
engaged in the art of distilling, and has been called a perfumer.
