LOUISE THIESSEN, "KENWORTHYS MARRY", 1990, PG 30; On 7 MAR 1807 Elisha and family received certificates of transfer to Miami MM, OH. On 18 JUL 1807 Fairfield MM, Highland, OH near Leesburg was separated from the Miami MM. From Leesburg, where they were members on 6 MAR 1808, they moved to Clinton Co., OH, near Samantha. On 14 JAN 1826, they were granted certificates of transfer to While Lick MM, Indiana, which is 5 miles NE of Crawfordville, which is now Sugar Creek MM having been set of from White Lick MM in 1830. In Highland Co., OH, Elisha and Mary's children are listed as Jehu, Silas, Sarah, Rachel, Tamer and Mary. In Clinton Co., OH, Elisha and Mary's children are listed as Ira, Jesse and Lydia. When Mary Died, Elisha moved in with his daughter, Sarah Hiatt (Doctor). She tooks care of him for almost 10 years, and then they had a falling out just before he died and he left her out of his will. He died 8 MAY 1860 at the age of 89 in Darlington, Montgomery Co., IN. Elisha and Mary are buried at Greenlawn Cem. There are no markers. His Will, from "abstracts of the Records of the Society of Friends" by Wm. KENWORTHYS MARRY, 1990, LOUISE THIESSEN, PG 33, Sarah began obstetric work in 1836 and worked until 1868. She delivered between 400 and 500 babies and never lost one. She took care of her father for the last 10 years of his life, but had falling out, and was left out of his will.

KENWORTHYS MARRY, 1990 LOUISE THIESSEN, PG 37; Silas owned and operated a grist mill in Darlington, Montgomery Co., IN. He also owned several mills in Rapidan, MN. He took loads of meal anf flour by barge down the Mississippi River from Darlington to New Orleans, sell the load and the barge and return home by stage coach and train. Came to Iowa before statehood (1837), first to Cedar Co., and in 1854 to Monroe Co near present site of Tyrone where he lived on 240 acres until his death. When they moved to Iowa Co., IA, Jehu changed his name to John. Jehu was a Quaker, Amaretta Presbyterian.; He was a member of the "Know Nothing Party", and was also a Whig and a Republican.
