                   LOUISE THIESSEN, "KENWORTHYS MARRY", 1990, PG 206; birth has been placed 1605
to as late as 1635.;  lived Portsmouth, Rockingham, RI. Baptists were not
tolerated in NH.  The Gov of NJ invited the Baptists to move there which they
did, about 1668.  Francis was left out of his father's will, probably because
he was a Baptist. Francis was Capt of Foot in 1664; received grants of land on
Raritan River; he received license to keep a Tavern in Piscataway 5 JUL 1673

                   LOUISE THIESSEN, "KENWORTHYS MARRY", 1990, PG 207; Capt. George Drake was a
    man of considerable prominence in the Colony, serving as a member of the
    General Assembly from 1684-1692. (NJ)  In 1684 he was a member, with Gov.
    Lawrie of the Committe to treat the rights of the citizens of Piscataway. He
    was one of the signers of the petition to the King which asked for the
    apointment of a more effecient Governor.  He married twice, the name of his
    first wife is unknown.
