Co., Oh in 1850.  By 1854 he returned to Richland Co.  in 1860 he lived at
Black Earth, Dane Co., WI. in 1870 he was a farmer in Marion Co., IA.  In 1880
and 1885 he lived in Black Oak, IA; 1895 and 1900 in Richland Twsp, Mahaska, IA
                  

                   bATCHER, PG 211;  In 1850 he was a farmer in Troy, Delaware Co., OH.  He
received a warranty deed for land in Richland Co., WI in SEP 1854 from Garwood
Greene.  In 1855 he was in Chields, Dodge Co., WI with 4 males and 2 females;
In 1860 he farmed in Buena Vista, Richarld Co., WI.  1870 he resided in
Franklin, Marion, IA;  1880 Cedar, Saunders Co., NE
                  

                   OLIVE BATCHER, 2423 HAMILTON DR., AMES, IA 50014; BOOK PUBLISHED 1995, PG 157,
     214: Elam/Elum/Elem Wallace was born 10 JUN 1827 in Matilda Twp, (Dundas,
     Ontario, Canada), and christend 14 SEP 1827; sponsers were Nicholas and
     Eleanor Carman and John Walliser.  Elam died 4 MAR 1901 in Mahaska Co., IA of
     stomach cancer, and was buried in the Stewart Cem, Mahask Co, IA [aeim]
     Elam was married to Ellen Mary McKinnie on 10 MAR 1850, according to the
     Family Bible.  They were married 27 MAR 1851 by S.R.Hughes, at the Old
     Presbyterian Church in Radnor, OH, according to church records.  The 1850
     census shows that both Elam and Ellen lived with their respective families
     [aco] (A Courthouse fire in Delaware, OH in the 1880's destroyed the early
     records.) 6 of their 9 children died young.  Elam m2 Catherine Jane Shafer
     in JAN 1881.
                  

                   BATCHER, PG 211; to Richland Co WI in spring 1849 and entered land in Ithaca;
filed naturalization Iowa Co., WI in OCT 1852.  Warranty deed in Richland
Center 1854. Rem. to Ithaca 1855.  Resident of Buena Vista 1860.  Land has been
in family for over 100 years thru dau. Sarah.  To Lone Rock in MAY 1861 where
he had a general store.

was issued a warranty deed in JUN 1852.  1870 in Avoca, Iowa Co., WIl 1880

Olive gives first wife of Amanda, listed on 1870 census (2 children); says he
married in 1880, Emma Jane Frames, who died in 1877; m3 Emona Steward aka Emma
Stewart) in 1882, div. in 1885.
     maybe Amanda d. 1887 and Emma's are the same person???
