P. 232 John Rogers....................Joseph Hale......... were sworn and empaneled as a Grand Jury and retired to consult on their presentments. And finding nothing to present, thery were discharged. Court Records (Name of Book ?) P. 268 Henry Higgins..................and Joseph Hale, who upon readiness to render their verdict, the court found that the plaintiff did not appear, and no one further prosecuted on his behalf. Therefore the jurors were discharged, and the case non-suited, and defendant to recover against the plaintiff 5 shillings damages and his costs. 26 Nov. 1788. Court Records (Name of Book ?) P. 372. P. 15, Indenture from John B0hannon to Lewis Templin was roved by Joseph Hale, Edward Willis and Benjamin Dunn, witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. 22 June 1790. Court Records (Name of Book ?) . 165. Administration on the estate of Joseph Hall (Hale), dec'd, is granted to Anna Hall, widow and relist, and John Hall, who entered into bond of 300 pounds with Thonas Wilson and Joseph McCallister as their sureties. John Hungate, Charles Hungate Elijah Faris and John Kinkead, of any three of them, to make appraisal of the personal estate of the decedent. Note in margin added by someone that name may be Joseph Hale and not Hall. 25 Apr 1791. Court Records (Name of Book ?) P. 452, Inventory and appraisal of the estate of Joseph Hale, dec'd, was returned and ordered recorded. 23 Jan 1793. Court Records (Name of Book ?) P. 56, The persons appointed for that purpose, report they have viewed a way for a road from Harrodsburg to the Washington Countyline, and say that a much bearer and better way may be had by running through the lands of James Westerrfield, with his consent, Emor Stalliup, with his consent, Alexander McClure with his consent, James Speed with his consent, John Chiles, Jesse Hale, with consent, John Hale with consent, the heirs of Joseph Hale dec'd, with the consent of the Guardian, Edward Watts, with consent, and George Davis, with his consent. Ordered that the road be established. Alexander McClure is appointed overseer from Harrodsburg to the east fork of McAfee's run, and George Davis from thenceto the County line. Ordered that John Hale, George Davis and Alexander McClure make a list of the hands to attend each. 26 Nov 1793. Court Records (Name of Book ?) P. 141, Hannah Hale, orphan of Joseoph Hale, dec'd made choice of Joseph Willis as her Guardian, and he entered into bond of 50 pounds with Edward Willis his surety. 25 November 1794.
