On 5 FEB 1755, she was married to Patrick Campbell, s/o John Campbell, of Derry twp, Dauphin Co., PA, by Rev. John Roan, Derry, PA. Eleanor's name was spelled "Helener" in her father's will. In his will (15 MAY 1798-26 JUN 1798), he gave his sister, Jean (Jennie) Stockton, "the money due me from my father' estate, excepting 125 pounds to my brother William If sister Jean should die before the money comes into her hands, her share to be equally divided among her surviving children. If sister Jean's children should die before they reach 21 years, then the money is to be divided between my brother." Brother Patrick Campbell, and James Irwin were named executors. Witnesses were James Ramsey and Robert Campbell. On 4 SEP 1798. Pat swore to file an inventory in a month and settle the estate in ayear. [dij]

After Caleb's death I (Olive) assume that Jennie moved her family back to Franklin Co to be with her kinfolk, although her parents had died in 1795. On 27 MAY 1813 in Franklin Co., PA, her daughter Eleanor, married Arthur Chambers (1770-24 SEP 1838), who owned several farms and was a successful merchant in Mercersburg, PA. Eleanor died 5 JUN 1841 [fgoq]

Patrick, inherited jointly 400 acres of their father's upper plantation in Peters Twsp. Robert's wife, Jane, died 25 AUG 1824. Robert died intestate in 1824, as William, the eldest of 6 children was appointed administrator of his father's estate on 7 SEP 1824. Caleb B. Campbell (s/o brother Patrick) was appointed guardian of his cousins, Nancy and Margaretta, Robert's minor children over 14. In 1827, an inquistion into Robert's real estate holdings determined that it could not be divided without prejudice [dhi] Caleb died, and new guardians were appointed for the minor children. On 9 APR 1827, John Bronson, Esq. Mercersburg, was appointed guardian of Margaret and Robert Campbell, and Samuel Johnson appointed guardian of Martha's estate. Samuel Johnson was appointed guardian of Martha on 14 AUG 1829, and John Johnston was appointed Robert's guardian 27 OCT 1829. [j]

Thomas and William Waddel, guardians of the minor children - Anna Maria, David, and Jane were over 14, and Margaretta, William, George, John and Catharine were under 14 years [eij] The Wadells were sons of their mother's aunt, Elizabeth Stockton Waddell, d/o Thomas, s/o Robert In the 1804 tax list for Peters Twp., Patrick had 94 acres patented land, 102 acres of warranted land, and 1 horse. Patrick and his brother, Robert, received a warrant for 100.22 acres of land in Franklin Co., on 1 FEB 1814. At the time of his death, Patrick owned about 220 acres of land in Peter's Twp. On 1 JAN 1822, an inquisition was held which determined that the land could be divided into 2 parts; 104 acres 93 perches and allowances was valued at $40/acre ($4,183), and 101 acres 70 perches calued at #31.50/acre ($3.195.28). Caleb the eldest son, chose the 2nd part and agreed on payment to his mother and siblings. All except Frances, the widow, were named in the land arrangements. In 1788, he was a communing member of Upper West Conococheague Presbyterian Church. His wife Margaret Walker, was born in 1776, in Adams Co., PA. In 1795, David inherited land jointly with his brother, Samuel, from their father. 9 years later, the brothers, and their wives, Margaret and Lily, agreed to partition the land, which was originally part of the land near Mercersburg granted to Andrew McCleary in 1738. On 29 MAY 1804, David and his wife, Margaret, sold their share (142 acres 64 perches by Conococheague Creek) to James Buchanan for 1,351 pounds 7 shillings, 6 pence. According to the 1804 tax lis for Peters Twp., David had 230 acres of warranted land, 2 cows and 1 horse [deghi]

His wife Lilly died 16 AUG 1836; both were buried at Church Hill Cemetery. As mentioned above, Samuel in herited land jointly with his brother, David, from their father in 1795, and agreed to partition it 10 MAY 1804. In JAN 1847, Samuel's sons, William (age 44) and Andrew S. Campbell (age 47). doed and were also buried at Church Hill. Samuel also named a daughter Jane, in his will (1 MAR 1842-16 MAR 1842) [eik]
