    "s/o Louis Williams, an emigrant from Wales. Joshua graduated in 1795 from
Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA and was licensed to preach by the Carlisle
Presbytery in 1798. He was Pastor at Paxtang and Derry Churches between 1798
and 1802, and of Big Spring Presbyterian Church from 1802 to 1829, when he
resigned because of "physical infirmities". He was an able theologian,
evangelican preacher, faithful pastor, and a consistent preacher.Both Eleanor
and Joshua are buried in Big Spring Churchyard, Newville, Cumberland Co., PA
