                   RESEARCH NOTE: (From Ancestry World Tree) Peter Hair Jr. obtained a 200 acre survey in 1771 on waters of Cannons Creek, In 1790 he divided this tract giving equal parts to sons, Lawrence Heer and Peter Heer, Jr. (Nby Deeds D-424 and 425). By 1790 Peter Heer Jr. had moved to Orangeburgh (later Barnwell) District. He made will 19 Jan 1813, proven 3 May 1813 naming wife Catherine, after whose death her share was to be divided between her own heirs (Barnwell Wills A-163). This record makes it clear that Catherine, wife of Peter Hair Jr. at time of his death, was not his first wife and not the mother of his children, An old family record reveals that the mother of Job Hair was named Angeline. The Bible record of Adam Rikard, born 1776, reveals tha John Eigleberger and Catherine Hairwere his baptismal sponsors. This record has led to speculation that Catherine Hair of this record was the first wife of Peter Hair Jr. and may have been a Rikard (aunt of Adam Rikard).

                   RESEARCH NOTE:
    Catharine Hair and John Eigleberger were baptismal sponsors of Adam Rikard, born 21 September 1776 (St. Luke's Lutheran Church Records). Based on this record, it has been assumed that Catharine Hair was probably an aunt of Adam Rikard and the wife of Peter Hair, Jr. (died 1813, Barnwell District, SC). Early bounty grants of Peter Heer (Peter Hair, Sr.) and Thomas Raccurst were adjacent each other on Cannons Creek. Peter Hair, Jr. obtained a 200 acre survey of 1771 north side Cannons Creek and gave 100 acre parts of this tract in 1790 to Peter Heer Jr. and Laurence Heer (Newberry Deeds D-424 and 425).
