BIRTH: Named in above Sources, Date is questionable, Note this:(There appears to be aquestion about the date of the death of Hugh's father in 1450, inasmuch as his inquisition post mortem takes place in the 29th year of the reign of Henry VI, King of England; thus, there must be an error in the age of his son, Hugh, who it is stated was "30 or more at the time of his brother, Thomas's death in 1488. The term "30 or more" would usually indicate an age between 30 and 31.  In this instance it would be more likely  Hugh was 50 or 51 in 1488, judging from the age of his first wife.    On the other hand Hugh's mother, Alice Stukeley, had a brother known to have born 1451, so it is not likely she was old enogh to be a mother as early as 1438, but she could possibly be in 1448, for this reason  and until better evidence is available we'll assume Hugh was 40 in 1488)
