Isaac BURGESS

                   Information on Joseph Burgess taken from British Roots of Maryland Families:90-91 Robert W. Barnes (1999)  Joseph came to Maryland about 1668, then returned to England.  He was preparing to come again when he took sick & died.  He was a Merchant.  In His Will he named his brothers Daniel, William, Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaac & sisters Elizabeth, Mary & Anne all children of William Burgess & Anne.

                   According to British Roots of Maryland Families:90-91 Robert W. Barnes, Daniel married and had at least one son, though neither are named.  Went to school at New Inn Hall, Oxford and was 18 when he graduated 11 Jul 1634.  He Held the Living of Staines, Middlesex and Sutton Magna, Wiltshire.  Later appointed Rector of Colingbourne Ducis, Wiltshire from which he was ejected 1662.

He is named brother in Will of Joseph Burgess Dated 22 Oct 1672 in England ; #975.255 V22d Tombstone Inscriptions of South Anne Arundel Co., Maryland:325 where date is estimated from his death date;  He  emigrated to Maryland in 1650.
