Two notes below were found in the papers of Thelma Hall Davis concerning her father, Jick Hall: His finger was chopped off by a girl as they were chopping. Because of this "trigger finger" being gone, Dad was rejected when he tried to enlist in the army. In a telephone conversation Dad was having with Keith, a son, on 13 April 1978 he told Keith that in the company of some friends that they put the cut-off finger in a match box and buried it. DEATH: Date is uncertain - as he was discovered dead of a heart attack in his apartment by the sheriff after an exended unexplained absence from his place of employment at the railroad yards. He had been living alone since his discharge from the military in 1946. An approximate date is 4 may 1982 in Ontario, San Bernadino, Calif. Original Death Certificate is from the State of Calif. county of San Bernadino. He was buried in the Ogden City Cemetery.
