                   NOTE: He enlisted for the war at Mt. Pisgah, Johnson County as a member of Company C., One Hundred & Twentieth Illinois Infantry, served until March 5, 1863. In 1880 and 1882 he purchased land on Sections 2 and 35, Cache Township and was a farmer.  The Beans were Methodists and belonged to the Republican Party.
