Two notes below were found in the papers of Thelma Hall Davis concerning her father, Jick Hall:  His finger was chopped off by a girl as they were chopping.  Because of this "trigger finger" being gone, Dad was rejected when he tried to enlist in the army. In a telephone conversation Dad was having with Keith, a son, on 13 April 1978 he told Keith that in the company of some friends that they put the cut-off finger in a match box and buried it.
