He first appears in Brazil from Feb 1646 to Aug 1649, Arrived on Manhattan 10 Mar 1651. He is part of New Amsterdam records of the Dutch West India Company on 30 May 1641.   On that date he sued Claes Syubrantsen Veringh for wages earned in making a canoe which had been delivered to Veringh.   Other records confirm that Frederick was a "ship carpenter" and that he was from "Flensborch" or Flensburg.
