Henry Goodman SEITZ

                   Heinrich Weidner, etc.:  21 october 1895 Catawba Couonty, NC Deed Book 51:301 Henry G. Seitz [et al] south of the Minerva school house, conveyed land for use as a public free school site... land when no longer used to revert back to the grantors or their heirs.  Registered 10 January 1896.
Catawba County, NC Deed Book 37:302, 21 October 1895:  Henry G. Seitz and wife Elmina conveyed to school committee of District 18, et al, for $1, 85 poles of land..south of the Kings Mountain Road..land when no longer used as a school to revert to Henry G. Seitz or his heirs.

Heinrich Weidner 1717 - 1792 Catharina Mull Weidner 1733 - 1804 Through Four Generations, by Anne Williams McAllister:  "15 November 1926 'Hickory Daily Record':  Henry Seitz was buried at Zion Church on Saturday afternoon.  Funeral services for Henry Goodman Seitz, one of the best known men in Catawba County, were held Saturday afternoon at Zion Lutheran Church, several miles south of Hickory.  Mr. Seitz died on Friday after an illness of several months.  He was a son of the late Darius and Rebecca (Link) Seitz, and early in life was confirmed a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he remained a faithful and loyal member throughout his life.  He devoted his attention to Agricultural Developments and was one of the leading farmers in this community.  On May 1875 Mr. Seitz was united in marriage to Miss Elmina Corpening, who with five children, three sons and two daughters, survive.  They are:  J.M. Seitz of Texas, E.C. Seitz and H.L. Seitz of this county, Mrs. Devon Collins of Statesville, and Miss Stella Seitz, who resides at the homeplace.  Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, also, survive."  James W.
