                   letter written by him in 1879 in "Heinrich Weidner 1717-1792.  Catharina Mull Weidner 1733-1804 Through Four Generations."  Anne Williams McAllister:  "to Z.B. Whitener, May 1 1882, Belton, Texas.  I was over at Aunt Sarah [Stillwell] Whitener's last Sunday.  She and [daughter] Caroline live on a farm of their own three miles from tow.  Jane [widow of Marcus Whitener], who married a Mr. Gay lives 3 miles further up the river, six miles from here.  Hamby is living just within the corporation [of Belton, Texas] about 3/4 miles from the Court house. He was a teacher and a baker.  He died of chronic nephritis.
