                   Heinrich Weidner etc:  1862 August 15 Paul Hollar enlisted in Company K, 35th Reg't, NC Troops, at age 31, where he served with his brother-in-law Levi Seitz.  Paul Hollar was by occupation a carpenter before enlisting.  Wounded in the left foot at or near Ware Bottom Church, VA, 20 May 1864.  He was with his unit until 20 January 1865, when he was released by reason of disability of wounds.  (North Carolina Troops, Vol. IX:455)

       Aged Lady Passed At Home of Son, Friday
     Mrs. Catherine Hollar, who was probably one of the oldest women in the county, died at the home of her son, W.R. Hollar, near Morganton, last Friday.  She was born 23 September 1837 and would have been therefore, 93 years of age her next birthday.
     She is survived by three children and fifteen grand-children.  The sons are Mr. H.B. Hollar of Drexel and Mr. W.R. Hollar of Morganton, and Mrs. Leola Hollar Berry of Morganton.
     Mrs. Hollar was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church and was a consecrated Christian.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. D.W. Richardson, where held at Zion Church last Saturday and interment made in the churchyard there.
