                   Applied for citizenship Oct 6, 1888.  Nov 14 1904 recieved naturalization papers.

FAMILY BIBLE: Bible which seems to be owned by Carl August Anderson, is in the posession of Alan Anderson.  The Bible has writing on the first page which is faded and in some parts unreadable.  A rough translation may be understood as: 

   "Belongs to the son Carl August Gahm of Ristorp, ___26 December 1860, ___ the _____ received at _____ _______ ________ for Christmas, the same year.  C. A. Gahm."

This may indicate that the family lived on a farmlet named Gahm, and that the farm was located in a place named Ristorp.  No location has been found that matches this description as of yet.  Further research is necessary"
