Y. in October, 1816,his parents being among the pioneers of that county. They werein Canada at the beginning of the war of 1812, but returned tothe States, locating in New York State, where their last twochildren were born, two having been previously born in Canadaand six in Vermont, ten in all, of whom but two are living:Tallman, a resident of California, and A.M.. Noah S., father ofA. M., died in Livingston county, N. Y., in 1829, after whichhis widow made her home with A.M. until her decease, whichoccured in January, 1874, when she was aged ninety-nine years,nine months and four days......"
