FRANKLIN - Bert Moss Wheatley, 89, passed away in his sleep at home Sept. 10, 2004, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born March 7, 1915, to Thomas Leslie and Rhoda Moss Wheatley in Bothwell, Utah. He was the fourth of 15 children. 
Bert was a member and High Priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Franklin 2nd Ward, Franklin, Idaho Stake. During his lifetime he served in a number of positions in the church, which included Sunday School president, Stake high priest secretary, Stake scout commissioner, and bishop counselor.
He served an LDS mission in California and upon his return married Rhea F. Heppler in the Logan LDS Temple on Dec. 4, 1941. Shortly after his marriage, Bert was drafted into the Army and served in World War II as an army sergeant in the China-Burma-India Theater. 
After the war, Bert settled with his family in Deweyville, Utah, and purchased a small farm. Later he moved to Carey, Idaho, and then after the death of his first wife, Rhea, in 1954, he married Ellen Walker Burnett and moved to Fairview, Idaho, where he ran a very successful dairy farm for over 50 years. In addition he supplemented the family income by working a number of other jobs, which included the U.S. Postal Service, the Preston School District, and other local businesses in and around Preston, Idaho.
Bert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his commitment to his family's welfare and happiness, and his ability to quote Scripture and teach his family about his love for his savior. 
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ellen Walker Burnett; ten children and six stepchildren, all who affectionately called him "Dad." Surviving from his first wife, Rhea, are Colin H. and Cindy Wheatley of Madison, WI; Karl H. and Maurine Wheatley currently in China; Keith H. and Theresa Wheatley of Clinton, Utah; Joseph Michael and Trudy Wheatley of Atlanta, GA; Mary Jane and Ron Bloxham of Challis, Idaho; and Rhoda Elaine and Jerry Witters of Omaha, NE.
Surviving from his marriage to Ellen Walker Burnett are Colleen and Glenn Ekimeier of Dodge, NE; Bert W. Jr. and Laura Wheatley of Fairview, ID; Mary Ellen and Bradley W. Hodges Sr. of Syracuse, UT and Seth T. and Beth Wheatley of Fairview, ID. 
Stepchildren surviving are LaVere and Connie Burnett of Wichita Falls, TX; Lorin and Dilean Burnett of Paradise, UT; Floyd and Miriam Burnett of Hyrum, UT; Bonnie and Lynn Burbank of Cub River, ID; FayeAnn and Steve Selley of Fairview, ID; and Carl James and LeAnn Burnett of Preston, ID.
Also surviving are his sisters, Alice Snow Cooper, Iva Lue Olenslager, Kathern Hunsaker Regan; and a brother, Tracy Wheatley. The remainder of his brothers and sisters have proceed him in death, in addition to his parents, his first wife, Rhea; and a son, Ronald. 
Bert leaves behind an extended posterity as the grandfather of 81 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Franklin Stake Center, 106 East Main Street, Franklin, Idaho. Friends may call at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, Preston, Idaho, on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the stake center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Franklin City Cemetery, Franklin, Idaho.

                   Tracy L. Wheatley 74, of Ogden, passed away peacefully at his home on November 26, 2008 after a battle with cancer. O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling. 
He was born October 18, 1934 in Deweyville, Utah. He graduated from Bear River High School in 1952 and later attended college in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Army Reserves in 1959, and was a member of the Roy Eagles. He married Margene Manning in 1955, they were later divorced. Tracy married Marva Renee Fullmer on July 3, 1968 and they were sealed on December 29, 2007 in the Ogden Temple. He was known for his kindness and compassion and for his well defined sense of humor. Tracy worked for DDO and Herrick Industrial, and later owned H&W Industrial, Traco Industrial Supply, and T&M Associates. He enjoyed watching and playing sports including golfing, baseball, and football. He loved to spend time with friends and family, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Leslie Wheatley, Rhoda Moss, and 11 siblings. Tracy is survived by his spouse, Marva Renee Fullmer Wheatley and his children: Dan (Debi) Wheatley, Timm (Beverly) Wheatley, Lori Ann (Don) Davis, Judy C. Jenson, Ronna (Stan) Rasmussen, Nancy (Brad) Orgill, Ron (Debi) Campbell, Patrishia Cathleen (David) Williams, John Charles Campbell, Tracie Shannon (Steven) Talbot, 35 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings, Ivalue Olenslager, Kathern Reagan and Alice Snow. Funeral services will be held at the Malans Peak chapel, 1643 26th St, Ogden, UT. at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2008. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, and one hour prior to services at the ward.
