Found in the Luke Syphus Temple Book as the great grand uncle of Luke Syphus. Temple work done by Luke Syphus. No sealing to parents or to a spouse is found in the book. He is listed as being a brother to Matthew Syphus.

When his wife died it looked like she was a widow, but it must have meant that he was a widower as we find his marriage in 1772 to Mary Harding. His name is spelled: Syerford, Widower. Marriage to Mary Harding: 25 May 1772 in Oxfordshire, Englnad. He is stated as "of Taynton, Oxfordshire, England" at this time of 1772. LDS data: A458172-0063. Luke Syphus Temple Book has his work data listed and also that of his wives, Sarah Pratley and Mary Harding Syphus. He died before his second wife, Mary, thus before Dec. 1790. Her name is spelled: Sifers, Widow, when she died.
Data taken from the LDS Church micro-fiche. Have found temple work done for his children. Luke Syphus Temple Book has him listed as, "relative". Luke Syphus did his work for him, but did not seal him to his wife or parents.
