Whitney history compiled by Fenton Whitney. He was known as Luke since his father was George too. Married to Julia Wardell Syphus who had been married to his cousin. He married her in the St. George temple, but was not sealed to her at that time as she had been sealed to her first husband. The sealing has been done since their death. May have a daughter, Clarice. Temple Ordinance records also list his birth place as Oxford, Franklin, Idaho (but I think this is incorrect).

Born in Lincoln County, Nevada which became part of Clark County, Nevada in 1908. Lived in Bunkerville, Nevada and died of the measles. She was one year, two months and twenty-six days old when she died. On the 14th she was buried. There was a double funeral; a Miss Earl was buried the same day. (This from the history by her brother, George Luke Syphus) Merged data had her name spelled as Louella.
