NOTE: He entered at the Port of Philadelphia and undertook the "Oath of Allegiance" to the British Crown on Oct. 12, 1741, at the age of 21. Arrival was on the ship 'Friendship', commanded by Alixander Thomson. 67 men, 33 women, and 6 children aboard. source: Manifest recorded p.307 of "Pennsylvania German Pioneers" by Ralph B Strassburger, LL.D., President of the Pennsylvania German Soc. Published 1966 by the Genealogical Publishing Company of Baltimore MD. Johan is buried on the home farm between Utica and Lewistown, Pa. The property is now owned by Mark Angleberger (1978). The stone was moved to Lot 129, Grave 2, Stull Addistion, St Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Utica,, Pa. His headstone reads "Al hier ruhet in Gott der tugendsame Johann Conrad Leichleider ward geb der 24 Dec 1724 in E stand gelebt 36 jahr er erzeuget 11 kin der 8 sohne und 3 tochter starb 5 sept 1781 alt 57 jahr."
He married Maria Barbara Muller Abt 1745 at of Pennsylvania . Maria Barbara Muller was born at Niederbronn, Haganau, Alsace, France 22 Jun 1725 .
