      He was buried at St. Simon and Jude Church where a handsome monument is
erected to his memory on the south side of teh chancel arch.  He was admitted
to teh Freedom of Norwich on 5 Nov. 1551, he was sheriff in 1566 and mayor in
1590.  In 1591 he purchased the manor of Rackneath form William Holmes.  His
son John and successors resided there until the male line became extinct in
England in 1772.

       John was the first Knight, married Bridget Curtis, daught of Augustin
Curtis of Lincolnshire and co-heir of Huntinton in Suffolk.  They had one son

       He wasw admitted to the Freedom of Norwich 10 Mar. 1593; Sheriff of
Norwich in 1601; Alderman and Mayor of that city in 1614.  He possessed a large
estate which he divided equitably among his children.  Cecily KING was his only
wife.
