MISC: There is a possibility that this is the wrong couple as John's parents,
although the family records do indicate these are the right names for John's
parents.  The 1833 child, having a possible name of Roseannah Butterfield and
being born 3 years before the marriage, seems to have been an illegitimate
child (or simply from a previous marriage).  The biggest question is the birth
of John 11 years after the marriage, though this mostly warns us to look for
other children born during this eleven year period.  [I have retained the
foregoing note even though I have since discovered more reason to feel
confiedent in the data, and among other things have discovered the added
children needed to make sense of the family constellation. --W.E.B.]
