                   RESEARCH NOTE:
    Family records list the birthplace as Donnington, though the autobiographical sketch of his grandson William Wadley lists Thomas' birth in Upton Bishop.  Donnington and Upton Bishop are only about four miles apart.  Further research may be able to sort out the details.

RESEARCH NOTE:
    While family records have listed Edward's birthplace as Newent, it appears from the christening records that he was actually christened in Donnington, where his siblings and father were also christened.  It is possible that the family had moved to Newent, but traveled the six miles to Donnington in order to christen their children in the church where other family members had been christened.  If so, the parish records may reveal the residence of the family.  Further research is necessary.
