                   RESEARCH NOTE:
    Margrete was christened as Magrethe Niels-Christiansdatter in the parish of Tise on the 4th of July, 1830.  Her mother is listed as Johanne Marie Laursdatter, and the supposed father is Niels Christian.  She was born out of wedlock.  Her mother married Christian Christiansen Sr. in Utah, who was the leader of the 7th handcart company.
