                   Emma (Mason) Heisler had 14 children, 4 whom died as infants and 1 at the age of 3. In Sept 1917 her husband Edward, died in Eaton's store in Toronto of a heart attack. Only 3 months later was the Halifax explosion and their son Stanley was killed and her home was badly damaged. She was left with several children still home, a damaged home and no husband.
