Baker,Stanley McRitchie--86,Isaac's Harbour,Guysborough Co.,passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday,July 11.2000.Born in Isaac's Harbour,he was the son of the late William Timothy and Bessie Mae(Heisler) Baker and was one of the family of 12 children. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Conference Church. He was an avid fisherman who for 53 years built and designed his own boats. During his lifetime he was a woodsman,road foreman and past trustee of Bayview Junior High,Goldboro. He was also a member and past treasurer of the Senior Citizens Helping Hands Club as well as a volunteer for the Red Cross Society. He leaves to mourn his loving family.His wife,the former Velma Pearl Crooks;stepson,Francis Crooks (Jennie), Drum Head; daughters, Mae Baker-Westhaver (Tony),Simms Settlement,Lunenburg Co.;Ester Baker (Don),Darmouth;sister, Laura Bezanson,Sherbrooke;10 grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren;two step-great-grandchildren;several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Stewart, Earl, Clifford, Ruben, Marshall and James; sisters, Myrtle,Pearl,Hilda and Josephine.
