                   Mrs. Parker Cruikshank - Obituary

Mrs. Parker Cruikshank, 56, of 43 Coronation Ave., Halifax, died Tuesday.
    Born in Tancook Island, Lunenburg County, she was the former Melda Heisler,
daughter of the late Colin and Blanche Heisler. She is survived by her
husband; two sons, Cyril, Liverpool, and Paul, at home; two daughters, Carol
(Mrs. Wayne Wright), New Minas; and Jacqueline (Mrs. Gregory Cook),
Fredericton, NB; two brothers Wilfred and Lindsay, both of Tancook; five
sisters, Jean (Mrs. Arthur Levy), Tancook Island; Bentie, Margaret (Mrs.
Douglas Levy) and Carrie (Mrs. Bruce Levy), all of Halifax, and Ruby (Mrs.
Edward Cox), Dartmouth.     She was predeceased by an infant son, Terry, and a
brother, Charlie.   The body is at the Halifax Funeral Home, Quinpool Road.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Mulgrave Park Baptist
Church. Dr. Ronald MacCormick of Woodstock will officiate, assisted by Rev.
John Bartol. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

She was predeceased by a sister, Melda Cruikshank; brother, Charlie.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday in T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, Bedford. Funeral 2
p.m. Monday in Mulgrave Park Baptist Church, Rev. Steven Hopper officiating.
Burial Tuesday in Little Tancook Island Cemetery for family and close friends
only. Donations to any charity. Ferry leaving Tuesday for Island 10:30 a.m.
